Maintaining a product key list
When you have one time purchases of Office installed on multiple PCs, it’s useful to create and maintain a list of which Office product key corresponds to each PC. This list will save you time later if you need to reinstall Office on a new PC (when retiring an older one) or you need to reinstall Office after reformatting or replacing a hard drive.
All you need is a simple list that has two columns. One column that identifies the PC that Office is installed on and another column that contains the product key. It might look like this:
